It's safe to say off-road superstar Toby Price likes to win.
The 2016 Finke Desert Race will be no different. Outright winner of the race in 2014 and 2015, a recent back injury won't stop Toby from going for the title of 'King of the Desert' for a third time in a row on the motorcycle.
But is that really impressive enough? Not in Price's mind. Not only will the 2016 Dakar Rally winner compete on a motorcycle - he'll go for dual titles by jumping in a truck too.
“For the last 3 years I’ve been extremely eager to compete in both classes, I like a bit of a challenge and something new, we just need to wait and see if we can pull it off which is the exciting part.”
Juggling two categories at the same time isn't unnatural for Toby, with the Red-Bull athlete competing in both Stadium Super Trucks and newly introduced Enduro-X event at the 2016 Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
"My interest in the trucks sparked when I started competing in the Stadium Super Trucks Series at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide in 2014, and the sponsors have come on board and have been a big help to make this dream of mine come true.” Price said.
The Stadium Super Trucks have left tire prints across all our hearts, but it seems that Toby's experience driving the trucks at Clipsal 500 has ignited a passion for dominating on 4-wheels.
If we know anything about the decorated superstar, it's that Toby doesn't leave anything to chance when it comes to competing.
The 2016 Finke Desert Race takes place in Alice Springs, Northern Territory from June 10-13 June.
